Builds Strategic Partnerships

The cornerstone of Sanjog’s partnerships is our ability to manage complex partnerships and build consortiums effectively. We believe that for change to happen and for equity to become a reality, partnerships and collective impact are inevitable. To that end, Sanjog collaborates with diverse entities, some Indian, and others international. From philanthropists to corporate foundations, social impact organisations, governments, and community-based organisations or social action groups, Sanjog sparks transformative partnerships.

Sanjog’s Philosophy on Building Partnerships

At Sanjog, every partnership is equivalent to energy. Energy that nurtures the feeling of being valued, and adding value to any space.

Key Pillars of strong partnership

Trust

Trust is the bedrock of all of Sanjog’s partnerships. Trust in the intent of others, in capabilities, expertise and commitment of partners

Respect

Respect for boundaries, differences and diversity…it takes years of work to achieve these

Value

The value of conversations, dialogues, and engagement, are key to enlivening partnerships

Challenge

Interdependence, respect and value for others, allows the freedom to challenge ourselves, build reflexivity in relationships, and equity in partnerships

Partnership Stories

Philanthropists

Kamonohashi Project

Japan

Kamonohashi has been the funding partner for two of Sanjog’s programmes – Leadership Next and Tafteesh. Apart from that, the organisation has also contributed to co-building the programmes, involved them and being involved in capacity building and solution building. Kamonohashi has taken on many roles through Sanjog’s leadership journey – a funder, a co-creator, an ally, an enabler, a challenger, and a supporter. The partnership rests solidly on the foundation of mutual trust, alignment of purpose, a shared aspiration, and the rights of marginalised communities.

BRITISH ASIAN TRUST (BAT)

United Kingdom

The British Asian Trust (BAT) is a more recent financial partner of Sanjog’s, for the Leadership Next Programme. The trust was also responsible for co-founding the programme along with Kamonohashi.

While the partnership is in its nascent stages, it has immense scope for growth and alignment building.

Edelgive Foundation

Maharashtra

The EdelGive Foundation is one of Sanjog’s long-term finance partners that supports its foundational programmes – Community-Based Rehabilitation such as Shakti. EdelGive’s engagements go beyond financial commitments; they have been one of Sanjog’s most invested partners who are a constant source of encouragement. Sanjog partners with EdelGive across multiple focus areas like Access to Mental Health, Survivor Leadership, Right to Reintegration and Assimilation, Financial Inclusion and Livelihoods, Technology for Social Justice, and Gender Equity.
